• Transitting France with a Dog

    Hello

When transiting France with a dog in the cabin do you still need to meet the pet import requirements (rabbies, EU health cert etc)?

    Thanks

Sorry, I meant to put this under 'Pet Travel - International'.

CPD- the answer to your question depends on what airline you are flying and/or whether you are staying on the same airline for the entire flight. If you are flying Air France, they will require that you recheck your pet (again) in France which will cause you and your pet to clear customs. In this case, you will need to conform to France's import requirements (https://www.pettravel.com/immigration/France.cfm). If you are changing airline companies in France, then you will need to clear custom as well.

If you are flying in and out of France on the same airline (not AF), then you and your pet will stay in the secure area of the airport until you board your next flight and clearing customs is not required.
