Travel to Canada with Tortoises

Hi,

I am traveling from the USA to Canada with a pet tortoise for which I have acquired the necessary CITES permits from both Canada and the USA and am now looking for the best method to get my pet to Canada. I've been experiences some difficulty with finding an airline that will accept tortoises. Any suggestions for an airline?

It is difficult to suggest an airline not knowing your route; however, it may be the case that you are speaking with reservations instead of the cargo department of an airline that serves your route. Most airlines will carry animals other than cats and dogs as manifest cargo when they will not permit them as accompanied checked baggage. Try United or Air Canada cargo if they serve your route. If you need other suggestions, let us know what your originating and destination cities are.
