  • Traveling between South Korea and the U.S.

I live in South Korea and I want to bring my cat with me when I visit the US. I'm wondering if he will be quarantined based on South Korean immigration rules, even though he is from South Korea?

Your pet must be vaccinated, accompanied with a health certificate, and have a tapeworm test to enter the US. On returning to South Korea, your pet needs a 15 digit ISO microchip, a current vaccination and a blood titer test given at least 3 months before entering the country.

You can find complete instructions and forms for the US and South Korea here: http://www.pettravelstore.com/categories/Pet-Passports/
