I am planning to take 2 chihuahuas from California to Hungary for 3-4 months. I have read on some sites that I need to get them microchipped and then vaccinated for rabies (even if the are current - this has to be done after microchip placement) and then the blood has to be re tested a month later to make sure that it has the required amount of protection against rabies - and all of this has to be done 6 months prior. Is that accurate?? On some other sites, it seems that the vaccination only has to be done at least 21 days prior.
