  • Cargo conditions in cold temps

    Hi there,
Ill be traveling from canada to the uk early nxt year and am just wondering what the cargo conditions are? Temperature and such like. I plan to fly out of alberta in jan or feb with my kitty Layla. Can I presume its air conditioned like the cabin and if so why cant you have an animal in the cargo when its less than 8degrees? Ive done all my other research, this is my last concern!!
    Tank you . . .niamh

Re: Cargo conditions in cold temps

The concern is related to the time the plane is on the runway. The cargo hold is normally kept at the same temperature as the cabin. However if it is very cold and the plane is delayed in takeoff the cargo hold may get too cold.
