Dog in cargo from Mauritius to Kigali, Rwanda: Which airline?

Hi there,
I am trying to transport my dog from Mauritius to Kigali, Rwanda via cargo (I am in Rwanda my dog is in Mauritius). I have tried with a Mauritian agent, who is now telling me that Turkish Airlines and South African Airways don't take animals to Kigali. Anyone who can help with more information?

The issue with SAA is that they don't fly the entire route. If your dog changes airline companies in the layover country, then someone must claim and recheck them on the next airline. Kenyan Airways flies the entire route; however, they have a long layover in Nairobi and likely your dog will need to stay in a crate for 8 hours on the ground if they will hold it. You may need to fly it into a different airport, pick it up there and import it to Rwanda by ground or have another agent claim it and check it into a different airline. Your agent should be able to make suggestions.
