  • Dog from Japan to UK

We will be moving from Japan to the UK with our dog in the summer. As Japan is a listed country, it looks like we don't need the extra titration rabies test, just to be up to date with his rabies vaccination (which in Japan is every year). Is that correct?

Michelle - you are correct. The titer test is not required for pets entering the UK from Japan. Your pet would need a current rabies vaccination administered after a microchip is implanted and an Annex IV form completed by a licensed vet within 10 days of travel. If your pet is a dog, it will need a tapeworm treatment between one and five days of entry.
