  • For China airlines, what is the maximum size dogs can travel in the cabin?

We have 4 pups (Maltese, yorkie, and maltipoo) all sub 20lb. And plan to fly from San Francisco to Taiwan via China air. Ideally we would like to bring them into the cabin with a suitable carrier.. but barring that, in the hold in a crate, 2 to a crate.

    is this a feasible option?

Also as we are planning on being in Taiwan for 2-3 months, are there any exceptions for both Taiwanese citizens with dogs that will be staying less than 3 months as well as anyway to reduce the titer test time (180 days a is a long time especially when the results are given in 6-8 weeks)?

    thanks

Mr Sassinak - China Air does not permit pets to fly in the cabin unless they are service animals serving a disabled passenger. Likely they will allow 2 small dogs in the same crate as checked baggage. You will need to make a reservation for them to fly, so you can confirm that when you call.

We know of no exception to Taiwan's pet import regulations. Perhaps a local agent can answer your question. You can search for one at IPATA.org.
