I am going to be in India soon and plan to pick up a pair of puppies of a very small breed and was wondering if I can cherry them in the cabin? Because they will have only just been parted from their mother.....my husband and I could carry one each in small containers. Any advice or knowledge about any of the Indian airlines?

You are able to move with air India this is national airline of India. They will allow to carry them on your set but it's depend on your puppy's size.
If they are small you can take them in a pet box. If you don't have any pet box buy it fist. India is beautiful city and going to famous for tours.

Moyna - it is difficult to bring a pet to India due to recent changes in the law. You must be intending to reside in India. There are only 2 pets permitted per family.

I know when you are bringing a pet on a travel, you need to have a certificate and you need to pay for them.Comment
